Nairobi Schoolchildren Fight to Protect Playground

While we here in NYC work to protect our public space in cases like North Meadow Recreation Center in Central Park (that has slowly been taken over by the Central Park Conservancy), and in the never-ending real estate grab that always puts our open spaces at risk… Here’s a story from Nairobi, Kenya, where young, brave schoolchildren are met with tear gas and police when they protest that their playground has been sold to a private developer.
